Security Expert & Technology Enthusiast

Hello, my name is Michael Kendrick, and I’m passionate about helping people stay secure in both the physical and digital worlds. My career began in physical security as a Certified Registered Locksmith, where I learned the hands-on side of protecting homes and businesses. Over time, I built on that security foundation by moving into technology, developing a career in IT and cybersecurity, which gave me a strong understanding of online security, the other key focus of Locks to Logins. I’ve spent over two decades managing systems, improving security practices, and supporting the technology that organizations rely on to stay safe, secure, and productive. And along the way, my work in programming has really deepened my understanding of how technology operates beneath the surface.

Through Locks to Logins, I draw on my background in physical security and my extensive time in technology to make home safety, online security, and privacy easier to understand and put into practice every day.

Off the Clock

Outside of technology and security, I’m a proud father of three amazing kids and live in the Midwest, where I value hard work, honesty, and common sense. When I’m not writing or testing new gear, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, fixing something around the house, or diving into a new project just to see how it works.

Locks to Logins grew out of my lifelong curiosity about how things work and how to keep them secure. It’s my way of sharing what I’ve learned from decades in the field and helping others feel more confident about protecting their homes, devices, and personal information.
